- 1985 IBM: IBM formed a round table seminar to discuss the IBM software for the Distribution and Manufacturing industries. SMC Data Systems was invited to the seminar and represented the Mid-Atlantic States. As a result of input given to the IBM Executives by the business partners attending this seminar the Distribution and Manufacturing software were improved.
